Jericho is fine...

After reading numerous comments on the web about Chris Jericho's Twitter comment that he is hurting....enough is enough with the comments. The man just wrestled 2 matches in a matter of an hour and a half....of course he will be sore the next day....ok? So can we put that rumor to rest?

Great...moving on...

Round and round they go..

Before Donald Trump sold back the RAW franchise to Vince McMahon he made sure he made some changes to the brands. There were more then a dozen trades across the board..they are as follows:

Orton's Gauntlet..

As Batista announced at the beginning of RAW tonight, Randy Orton was entered in a Gauntlet match against 3 superstars which were part of the trade before Donald Trump sold back RAW to McMahon. Those 3 superstars are Evan Bourne, Jack Swagger, and Mark Henry

Evan Bourne...RKOuted..

Jack Swagger...Count out..(???)

Mark Henry..pins the WWE Champion...

So is Mark Henry getting the push he deserves?

A Million Dollar host..

Next week on Monday Night RAW the Legend, Ted "The Million Dollar Man" DiBiase will make an appearance as the special guest host and GM. Is this what Ted DiBiase, Jr. was referring to when he said in the locker room to Orton that everything will work out?

Diva's Fatal 4 Way...

In a Diva Fatal 4 way Match, Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendes all squared off to determine who would face the lovely Diva's Champion Maryse. Mickie James picks up the win and will face the Divas Champion Maryse at Night of Champions.

The Miz. vs. John Cena- 2nd Match

In a match where we all knew the outcome and took a little longer then expected...John Cena moves on in the tournament..

Edge and Jericho vs. Carlito and Primo

These two tag teams have put on one of the most entertaining tag team matches in awhile on any of the brands. You can see the real potential of Carlito and Primo when they have two superstars that can compliment their abilities.

Unfortunately Carlito went for a spring board elbow but Primo was pushed into the ropes taking Carlito out and setting up Edge for the pin.

Jericho and Edge remain the Unified Tag Team Champions..

Triple H vs. MVP- 1st Match

Triple H was victorious during his match against MVP bringing him one step closer to the WWE Title and Randy Orton...

WWE's Guest Host- Batista

The special announcement that Vince had tonight was to introduce the guest host and acting GM for tonight....Dave BATISTA! Batista came out wearing an arm brace since he is still inured but it's good to see him back on the show whether or not he is wrestling.

During his announcements Randy Orton and Legacy made an appearance to interrupt him and make a direct threat to end his career. With that, Batista threatened to fire Orton and his crew.

His announcements:

4 Man Night of Champions Tournament

The Miz vs. John Cena

MVP vs. Triple H

3 on 1 Gauntlet Match

Randy Orton vs. ???

More to follow...

Monday Night RAW- 6/29/2009

Tonight's episode of Monday Night RAW will be kicked off by the Chairman, Vince McMahon with a special announcement and introducing a special guest host. Could he be announcing Jillian's departure?

Carlito and Primo will try to regain their Unified Tag Team titles tonight on RAW.

Will Triple H seek further revenge by squaring up with Randy Orton again tonight?

The results will be posted here in real time tonight so don't miss it!!!

HBK returning?

Since his loss to the Undertaker during their Wrestlemania 25 match HBK has disappeared from the wrestling world taking a much needed break to spend with his family. There has been a lot of talk recently about when the Heart Break Kid will return and it seems that the WWE answered that question last night during The Bash. WWE ran a preview for Summer Slam and HBK's face was listed implying that he will be in that PPV. Also, after Triple H's match with Randy Orton, once Triple H delivered a beating at the end to Orton he gave the infamous "suck it" which was done by DX. Will HBK return to reunite DX with Triple H?

Maybe Tag Team aren't forgotten

In a move that shocked many last night, Teddy Long entered Chis Jericho and Edge into the Unified Tag Team Championship last night resulting in the pair winning the titles. With big names like this maybe the Tag Team era is on a comeback. The titles have been changing hands on Smackdown and RAW but last night's move may bring it back to PPV status.

CM Punk a heel becoming a reality

In tonight's win against Jeff Hardy CM Punk seemed to take the easy way out. After almost losing to Hardy through pin fall the referee made a call that CM Punk's leg was under the ropes and said the match had to continue. During a scuffle in the corner of the ropes, CM Punk seemed to get poked in the eye bringing the referee to his attention. As the referee was trying hold off Hardy, CM Punk kicked the referee in the back resulting in a DQ. CM Punk pretended that he had no idea that he kicked the referee but didn't hesitate to take his belt and raise his arms as a champion would.

So is this just another move to put CM Punk closer to heel status?

Rey keeps his mask

During the Rey Mysterio and Chris Jericho match it seemed that Mysterio would be losing his mask and not becoming the new Intercontinental Champion as Jericho proved to be dominate. In a final attempt to de-mask the high flying superstar Chris Jericho pulled off Rey's mask but to his surprise Mysterio had another mask underneath and scored the win. So the high flying Luchador still goes on..

DiBiase aides Orton dispite words

After the 3 way tag team match Legacy and Randy were backstage discussing their loss. Orton didn't seem to concerned with their loss and not becoming the new Unified Tag Team title holders which seemed to infuriate Ted DiBiase. After some brief words with Orton, Dibiase stormed off leaving Rhodes to deal with Orton. Rhodes told Orton he would talk to DiBiase about the situation and make things right.

Before the 3 Stages of Hell match with Triple H, Orton was in the locker room trying to call Rhodes to find out if Legacy still had his back. With no answer, it seemed that the Orton\Legacy run was over. To much surprise, as Orton was about to lose his title Rhodes came out and stopped Triple H from pushing Orton across the line on the stretcher. Once Triple H went through Rhodes DiBiase came out to help resulting in Orton still regaining his title.

So did DiBiase come out to help Orton or his tag team partner Cody Rhodes? Tune in tomorrow to Monday Night RAW to find out the details..

Kane takes on the Punjabi giant

During The Great Khali and Dolph Ziggler's no DQ match The Big Red Machine Kane made an appearance and began attacking the Punjabi giant with a steel chair. This is something which shocked the entire WWE audience and Ziggler who quickly jumped in after the beating and took the win.

So we have a new feud starting with Kane and The Great Khali, but why? Why was Khali the victim of a brutal beating? Tune in to WWE Raw live on Monday night as I am sure we will have the answers.

Teddy's move to impress Vince

Since last week Teddy Long the GM of Smackdown was put on probation with the orders that he better deliver a stellar performance for The Bash PPV. During the PPV Vince McMahon confronted Teddy Long about the comment he made about being the longest running GM in Smackdown history. With that, McMahon told Teddy that he hasn't been impressed with his performance and better make some changes to shake things up. So what did Teddy do? During the Unified Tag Team Champions he shocked everyone by making it a 3 way Tag Team match bringing in Edge and Chris Jericho. This was a great move as he brought two of the best heels in Smackdown together. The two heel's went on the win the Unified titles.

So what else does the GM have in store for Vince to show him why he has been the longest running GM in Smackdown history. We'll just have to wait and see this week on Smackdown.

Lillian Garcia set to leave the WWE

When Lillian was confronted she stated that the WWE was searching for an announcer for WWE Superstars and a backup for her. Now, in a message posted on her website she states that she has handed in her resignation and will leave the WWE once her contract expires. She states that she is leaving because she is getting married and plans on starting a new phase in her life. You can read the full message at http://www.lilliangarcia.com/.

Main Event Mafia gives a sting

The Main Event Mafia turns their back on the long time superstar Sting. During a TNA event Sting confronted the Mafia and called them all out since the introduction of Somoa Joe and from what is seems Matt Morgan. Once the words ended the beating began....check out the youtube video for more.

TNA Title Match annouced

Next Thursday on TNA there is a tag team match scheduled for the TNA Heavy Weight Championship?? Jeff Jarrett and AJ Styles will square off against the reining title holder Kurt Angle and the newest member of The Main Event Mafia Somoa Joe. The winner this match will be the new TNA Heavy Weight Champion.
So is this a one on one between Jarrett and Angle or is it everyman for themselves??

The Bash Updates- June 28th, 2009

As we gear up for WWE's next PPV event The Bash here is the outlook for the matches. There are 6 title matches lined up and 2 non-title matches. Remember, the chairman "suggested" that Smackdown GM Teddy Long make this an stellar performance....

  • Jeff Hardy vs. the World Heavy Weight Champion CM Punk- Title Match

  • John Cena vs. The Miz

  • Triple H vs. the WWE Champion Randy Orton in a 3 Stages of Hell Match- Title Match

  • ECW Championship Scramble Match- Title Match

  • Michelle McCool vs. Women's Champion Melina- Title Match

  • Rey Mysterio vs. Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho- Rey's mask or Title Match

  • The Great Khali vs. Dloph Ziggler

  • Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase vs. Unified Tag Team Champs Carilto and Primo- Title Match

Vince get's on Teddy's case..

So why all of sudden is the Chairman, Vince McMahon getting on Teddy Long's case about they way he is running Smackdown? Is this a power trip so that everyone in each brand knows he is still the boss given the situation with Trump last week on RAW? Not sure what is in store for the General Manager but as Vince stated...he better make a good impression during The Bash this Sunday.

Smackdown Results- 6/26/09

Morrison vs. World Heavy Weight Champ CM Punk- Morrison gets the win in a non title fight.

Matt Hardy's new persona?

In an update on Matt Hardy's Twitter page, he states on 6/26 that a Brand New Matt Hardy is coming and for his fans to be ready. Earlier during the day, Hardy also stated that he is going through the most dramatic changes in his life over the next couple of weeks but did not mention whether it was personal or professional.

Is the WWE changing Matt Hardy's character again? The last time they did he came out as a heel and started feuding with his brother Jeff. Honestly, I don't think the whole heel persona went over to well with the crowd which is why this is being done. There is no word on when the new Matt Hardy will be released but hopefully it's better than the last persona change.

3 Stages of Hell

On Sunday, Triple H and Randy Orton will square off in a 3 Stages of Hell Match. The first time this match was introduced in the WWE was in 2001 at No Way Out when Triple H defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin. Next we move on to 2002 at Armageddon, Triple H faced close friend Shawn Michaels. Once again Triple H was victorious. Now, in 2009 Triple H will square off with Randy Orton at The Bash, Sunday June 28th. Is Triple H heading for another victory to become the new WWE Champion or will Orton slither his way out.....

Rick Flair a free agent

Since his retirement from WWE Flair has been making cameo appearances on RAW without a contract. Flair stated that he did not want to sign an exclusive contract with the WWE because they wanted creative control over his character as they do with many of their wrestlers. So what does this mean for Flair? Will we be seeing him pop up on other brands? A comment made by Flair suggested that he is open to bookings

Where will Ken Kennedy go next?

Since being released from the WWE, Ken Kennedy must sit out of competition for the remainder of his 90 day non-compete clause. During this time Kennedy seems to be having a good ol' time in the making Episodes on his Facebook page. So where will the comedic superstar land next? There aren't any rumors floating around but my guess would be TNA. Not because all ex WWE wrestlers go there but because Kennedy is talented on the microphone and TNA needs some good charismatic stars there.

The king of pop, Michael Jackson, died today at the age of 50. The King of Pop was found unconscious today in his Los Angeles home around 12:00 pm. At the scene, EMT's confirmed that Jackson had died of cardiac arrest. This all comes before Jackson was going to start his come back tour in London on July 13th.

While Jackson may have been involved in a lot of controversy throughout the years there is one thing that is certain: when Michael was in his prime he ruled the pop world.

Farrah Fawcett dies of cancer at age 62

After a strong and brave battle with cancer Farrah Fawcett dies at age 62. Farrah's lustrous career spans over several decades her most memorable role being in Charlie's Angels. While her career took many twists and turns along the way Farrah always kept a positive attitude which has brought joy into many peoples lives around the world. Farrah will surely be missed in the entertainment world.

Matt Hardy addresses injuries

Recently there have been rumors floating around the web that Matt Hardy has suffered a torn abdominal muscle. The rumors may have been started since Hardy hasn't made an appearance on Smackdown in a few weeks. To put these rumors to rest Hardy posted a comment on his My Space page stating the following: "There are several varying stories going around the Internet about me. I'm ok, and will be ok. Thanks for checking on me and I appreciate your care."

The Marine 2 Trailer Released

When Randy Orton gave Ted DiBiase the infamous punt to the head it was for a good reason or maybe not. DiBiase left to film The Marine 2 which is set to go directly out on DVD this year. I guess the way the first one took off in the movies made WWE change their minds this time. Take a first look at the trailer..

Victoria arrives at TNA

The infamous Victoria who once drilled the WWE Diva's with the Widow Peak has appeared on TNA as many wrestlers do once they leave the WWE. In TNA she goes by the name of Tara, still does the Widows Peak and looks a lot leaner from her WWE days. Her current feud is with the TNA Women's champion Angelina Love. Their latest match was in TNA's PPV event Slammiversary but Tara came up short for the win...check the link below for Tara's debut match.

Tommy Dreamer keeps his dream alive

Despite rumors floating around the Internet that Tommy Dreamer is going to retire the WWE has signed Dreamer to another 3 year deal. The deal came before Dreamer made his speech that he didn't know what would happen once his contract expired in 2009 (the speech was only a storyline). It wasn't confirmed if Dreamer will continue his career on ECW or move over to Smackdown or RAW.

Billy Red Lyons passes away at 77

The Canadian native started his career in 1956 as a professional wrestler appearing in numerous events in Canada and throughout the United States. In 1984 Lyons retired as an active wrestler and started his announcing career with the Toronto Maple Leaf Wrestling. He was linked with the WWE as he promoted their brand throughout Canada. His infamous catch phrase "Don'tcha dare miss it" became the ending phrase to all of his promos. Lyons will surely be a missed figure in the wrestling world.

Trump to return?

Being that Monday night's commercial free WWE RAW live event boasted some of the highest ratings in all time we may be seeing Donald Trump on the RAW stage again. Over the years Trump has appeared on RAW numerous times with one of his memorable visits when he shaved the Chairman Vince McMahon's head at Wrestlmania 23. McMahon and Trump are long time friends so why wouldn't he be back on the grand stage to feud with the Chairman. Honestly, the story line is pointless but it does bring great ratings....

Time to make CM Punk a heel?

Is the WWE making a move to turn the Straight edge CM Punk into a heel? With the recent chain of events all actions are pointing to yes. To start, after the underdog Jeff Hardy won the championship from Edge at the Extreme Rules PPV CM Punk quickly jumped in and cashed in his money and in the bank briefcase to become the 2x heavy weight champion. Then during another event he jumped on and took a win away from Jeff Hardy. So is CM Punk becoming a heel or will he be a type of wrestler that does whatever he wants.....

Batista's Ride

While staying on the subject of wrestling I wanted to move to a lighter side of it to show you what some of these wrestler are working with. Not too long ago, The Animal Batista gave his fans an inside look at his car collection. One vehicle which Batista caught every one's eye with was his Mercedes Benz SL500 white with white Asanti 20" rims. In addition to this piece of work Batista also owns a Hummer H2 fully tricked out, and BMW 745i sitting on 22" Asanti rims. If anyone thinks that these superstars don't make a good living think again...

What happened to tag teams?

2008 was supposed to be the year of the tag teams bringing the good ol' days back but things didn't go as we all expected. Where are good tag teams today in the WWE? We had a good thing going with Miz and Morrison for a little bit. I'm not saying that The Miz is a great wrestler but we had Morrison for that. The Miz brought a lot of comedic comments and actions into the mix making them a good duo. In 2009, the duo broke up and it seems that The Miz is taking more of the spotlight in RAW giving him a lot of air time. Morrison, while he is still active seems to have fell off the radar on Smackdown.

So who are we left with? Primo and Carlito? Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase? What happened to the days of Demolition, Road Warriors, The Hart Foundation, The Rockers, DX, Killer Bee's and so on...

Is the WWE eliminating these long lived duos? All actions point to yes...

Tazz to TNA?

Since the ECW announcer Tazz has separated from the WWE franchise he has been relaxing at home until his non compete clause expires. During that time there have been many rumors floating around that Tazz is planning on signing with TNA. Could Tazz be joining the other ex WWE stars on the TNA brand?

Smackdown Main Event- Friday, 6/26

This week on Friday night Smackdown the main event will be a tag team cage match between Intercontinental Champ Chris Jericho and The Rated "R" Superstar Edge vs. Rey Mysterio and Jeff Hardy. Hmmmm, isn't this the infamous dark match during tapings of Smackdown?

Ed McMahon Dies at age 86

The Television veteran, Ed McMahon has died at the age of 86. McMahon passed shortly after midnight at the Ronald Regan UCLA Medical Center. The cause of death was not released but it has been reported that McMahon has been battling numerous illness over the past few months.

McMahon had a long and lustrous career including the Tonight Show and Star Search. He will surly be a missed figure in the entertainment world.

Candice Michelle Released..

The lovely Candice Michelle was released this month from the WWE because she is becoming too injury prone. Over the past 2 years, Candice has been in and out of the ring due to injuries which all started with a broken collarbone during her match with Beth Phoenix. In a statement made on Twitter.com from Candice, she expresses that she is free to grow now since the WWE released her.

Ultimate Warrior Rants

The Ultimate Warrior has been blogging about turning 50. He speaks about how is in a stage of his life now where he feels calm and comfortable about who he is and what he has done. On another note, he also speaks about how he feels he let his fans down over the years with his actions and sends an apology out.

Then during the blog, which is a direct shot at the WWE Hall of Fame members, he posts a link to a video with Jake the Snake Roberts wrestling at some backyard wrestling event who knows where. Right before the link, Warrior states "The video came close to pushing me to the absolute zero zone you need to enter to get the job done right". Is this a direct shot at those who won't give up wrestling in their old age or is this just another pointless rant of the warrior? Here is the link to the video posted on YouTube.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NO1Yn2V8TCw.

Is Lillian Garcia's run over?

WWE sent out a casting call in search for a young, attractive, female announcer who can sing the national anthem. While the WWE has not said exactly what brand they are searching for, they did state that they are looking for a ring announcer to fill one of their top TV shows.
On a separate note, Lillian Garcia has stated in an interview that she has no plans on leaving RAW and that the WWE is simply looking for someone to fill the WWE Superstars which is on Thursday's at 8pm EST.

Give me back RAW..our play date is over

Well just as I thought the Donald Trump era on WWE Raw didn't last for long. After the past few days Vince McMahon was humilated by his long time friend Donald Trump, Vince walked into the ring tonight and offered to buy back the brand he just sold to Trump a week ago. Trump accepted and made a double profit on his recent purchase charging Vince double what he paid for it. That was a waste of a story line although I don't think that's the last we will see of Trump within the WWE.

No One Left Standing..

Ok the last man standing match was a little better than expected given that it was on a Monday Night RAW and not on a PPV. The announcers table was brought into play (as usual) when Triple H was trying to set Orton up for a good ol' pedigree but Orton quickly turned it around into an RKO. Later, since the table was still active Orton received a nice TV screen to the head by Triple H once each of them came back to their senses. From there the match moved up the ramp where the audio engineers
took one for the team again taking a ladder shot in the head from Orton as Triple H moved away.

Once again Randy Orton is still the WWE Champion and Triple H does not lose by pinfall, count out or anything else which would be fair. To top it off since Vince is back in control Triple H will have his shot again on Sunday at The Bash for the title in a Three Stages of Hell Match

No Commericals huh...

Yes, Donald Trump said that there would be no commercials during this week's Monday Night RAW and I am sure he's right but he didn't say there wouldn't be live advertising. During the first few scenes at the annoucers desk if you noticed the KFC Grilled Chicken sitting infront of JR and King...so how much did KFC pay for this one? Refunded tickets....no commercials...I'm guessing a heafty amount.
